Basic Needs Center
The BNC provides essential resources for students to survive and thrive. Programs include a food pantry, emergency housing, care coordination, CalFresh, and transportation assistance.
Gender Equity Resource Center (GenEq)
GenEq is the campus location where students, connect for resources, services, education and leadership programs related to gender and sexuality. GenEq serves womxn, LGBTQ+, and men. In addition, GenEq hosts a variety of workshops and resources for transgender, gender expansive and nonbinary communities across campus.
University Counseling and Psychological Services
University Health Services (UHS) offers counseling and mental services to all UC Berkeley students regardless of insurance plan.

PATH to Care Center
PATH to Care Center provides confidential advocacy, resources, and support to survivors of sexual harassment, sexual violence, dating/intimate partner violence, stalking, and/or invasion of privacy. More information on reporting sexual violence & harassment can be found here. For urgent 24/7 support, call the Care Line at 510-643-2005.
The LEAD (Leadership, Engagement, Advising, & Development) Center is UC Berkeley’s hub for student involvement, leadership development, and co-curricular advising.
Centers for Educational Justice & Community Engagement (EJCIE) EJCIE is a collaborative of offices and centers that advocate for, build capacity with and dialogue among and across diverse communities. Centers include the African American Student Development, Asian Pacific American Student Development, Chicanx Latinx Student Development, Gender Equity Resource Center, Multicultural Community Center, and the Native American Student Development.

Greater Good Science Center
The Greater Good Science Center studies the psychology, sociology, and neuroscience of well-being, and teaches skills that foster a thriving, resilient, and compassionate society. They have a great podcast!

UC Berkeley WarnMe
UCB WarnMe is the notification system. Emergency notifications are sent upon confirmation of a significant emergency or dangerous situation occurring on the campus that involves an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or employees. UCB WarnMe is also used to send timely warnings and community advisories from campus police (UCPD).
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) – Power Outages
PG&E will occasionally have planned power outages to prevent fires. UCB will communicate when power will be shut for the campus, but you can see if your neighborhood will be affected. Consider signing up for PG&E alerts.
Office for Graduate Diversity
Courses in ceramics, photography, painting, design, and many more! Doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert -maybe you just want to have your own art space.
There are hundreds of research institutions, organization, and groups on campus. You can search for them via field of research or keywords at Berkeley Research. You can also explore and find faculty experts in your areas of interest.
Professional development programming for graduate students
As a Berkeley student, you have access to a wide range of software and services including the Adobe Suite, Microsoft 365, RedHat, etc

Berkeley Libraries More than just checking out books and accessing articles! You can rent equipment, access citational guides, and chat with a librarian (they are experts!) to help you get started with a project and find what you need. Remember to set up a VPN so that you can access Berkeley library resources off-campus!
